HR Job Overview

• To lead HR transformational programs and direct the implementation of the Kasapreko PLC peoples’ strategy relating to resourcing, learning and development, talent management, reward management, and employee relations to drive the set corporate goals.

Duties

• Recommend and implement employee-related policies and strategies to attract, retain, and motivate staff through manpower planning, recruitment and selection, performance management system, training and development, and compensation and benefits.
• Develop and maintain HR policies, frameworks, and administrative procedures, which promote trust and confidence among staff and enable line management to manage and motivate staff.
• Develop and maintain cordial management and union relations and counsel line management on employee-related matters to promote industrial peace and productivity.
• Administer within company policy, compensation, and benefits programs, while conducting compensation, benefits, and other employee-related surveys, analyzing same, and making appropriate recommendations to management.
• Develop bargaining strategies, survey competitive collective agreement, prepare summaries and reconciliations, and use data to guide the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements.
• Determine career development requirements, serve as advisor to line management on Career Development, advising on methods and procedures, providing counsel on placement and selection of employees, and monitoring the implementation of approved development programs.
• Develop and implement a process that provide for continuity in key management positions through the identification of employees with potential as backup human resources, identification of their deficiencies and the provision of developmental opportunities for them in advance of the Company’s needs.
• Liaise with the Company’s Legal Advisor on all legal matters affecting employees and other related matters.
• Assist other units under the holding Company (Pinnacle Group) as and when necessary.

Qualification Required & Experience

• A University degree in Business or Social Sciences or equivalent and not less than ten (10 years) relevant experience in human resources management or an MBA with 5 years of relevant experience in human resources management.
• Must have served in a senior management role in the last 5 years.
• A certified HR Professional (SPHRi, SHRM-SCP, CIPD, CHRMP) is an added advantage.

• Creative thinker and intuitive initiator.
